“All it takes is a beautiful fake smile to hide an injured soul and they will never notice how broken you really are.” Unknown I entered into an insidious realm that that really cuts to the core. So, for and with my friend, we put this story together as she’s been to hell and back suffering from depression, sleep deprivation and suicidal attempts but, she has come out “The Conqueror” This is her story, so other may see that there is hope. Her days begin with a handful of pills she struggles to swallow She fights silently, despite the help they are supposed to give her She pulls herself off the floor….and some days become too much to bear. Other days she’s fully prepared for her battle, that she marches into Depression, anxiety and at times, ultimately………… Depression affects people you would never even guess. There is no escaping the darkness that surrounds them. This is in honour of my warrior friend….in a war, every day!
