LITTLE MONKS PLAYGROUND
Children will always be children.
Even when they are little monks,
and despite the rigid life within the monasteries,
I found my self swept surrounded by the joyful laughter of children, in what felt like a playground of childhood games.

Many families send their young children to be educated in a monastery for several years
Given that many families in Burma (and much of Myanmar’s population) live in poverty, they take advantage of this opportunity and send their child to the monastery, where they will receive an education as well as clothing and food.
