The subjects are painted with motor oil and wear elaborate masks and costumes for the festival of Carnival. . These masks can symbolize various entities such as devils, historical figures, or mythical creatures, I took the images in a makeshift studio I set up over one of the galleries as the Carnival parades were about to begin.
