Flying over history
The most thrilling experience one can have when visiting Luxor (Egypt) is a hot air-balloon ride over the west bank of the Nile. Balloons rise with the sun and become a spectacle themselves of drops of color in the sky, while the wind decides where the adventure is going to take you. This picture, shot from a hot-air balloon, captures a group of tourists marveling at the views of the historical site of Deir el-Bahari. Below them lie hundreds of tombs of nobles who lived thousand of years ago and, in the background the impressive temples of king Mentuhotep II and Hatshepsut blend with the hill surrounding them.
