Architectural states reimagined
Traditional architectural photography captures structures as entities that are motionless and at rest. The images presented in this series paint the architectural structures in a dynamic reimagined restless state with unknown trajectories of movement. This is accomplished by deconstructing the original photo to create mirror images of the vertical and/or horizontal planes and then reconstructing the architecture to frame an illusion of reflection. Architectural structures are thus converted from static entities to surrealistic images of reimagined dynamic states of movement. The original architectural images that were reimagined for this series were photographed in the following cities: Bologna, Florence, and Siena
